Organization Settings

Organization Settings is the Azure DevOps billing hub for Spec Kit subscription, seats, users, and AI credit budgets.

How to open it

  1. In Azure DevOps, open Organization settings (organization-level settings, not project settings).
  2. In the left menu, select Raaghu Spec Kit.

Only organization administrators can open this hub. Non-admins see a locked message.

Tabs: Subscription, Users, Credits, and Usage.

This hub is separate from the in-extension Settings dialog (hamburger menu), which is used for AI keys and command labels. The Settings dialog also has a tab named Organization Settings — that tab is only for shared AI credentials, not billing.

Subscription

The Subscription tab manages your plan and billing. Raaghu Spec Kit is the Professional Plan at $19 per seat / month (USD).

New Marketplace installs include an 7-day free trial. After the trial, complete checkout here so status shows Active and you can keep assigning seats.

If you are not subscribed yet: choose the number of seats with − / +, then click Subscribe for $…/month.

Once subscribed, the tab shows plan status (Active, Past due, Canceled, Canceling, and similar) and these actions:

ActionDescription
Adjust SeatsAdd or remove seats. Increases apply right away; decreases are scheduled for the next billing period (use Undo seat change if needed).
Top up CreditsAdd hosted-AI balance ($10, $25, $50, $100, or a custom amount).
Manage BillingsOpen the Stripe portal for invoices and payment methods.
Cancel subscription / Undo cancellationCancel schedules end-of-period termination. While status is Canceling, click Undo cancellation to keep the plan.

Adjust Seats

Use / + to change the seat count, review the price breakdown, then confirm. You cannot go below the number of seats already assigned — unassign users on the Users tab first.

Users

The Users tab is where you give approved users a seat.

Three stats show Seats purchased, Seats assigned, and Seats available. Search by name or email, then:

  • Assigned — members who currently have a seat (you can Unassign)
  • Available to assign — members you can give a seat (Assign seat)

Approving an access request is not enough. Each user also needs an assigned seat before they can use the hub.

Credits

The Credits tab controls AI credit spending. You can:

  • View AI Credit Balance, Spent this period, and Active caps
  • Add budget cap for the organization, a project, or a user in a project (Monthly or Lifetime)
  • Edit or Remove existing caps

Top-ups are done on the Subscription tab. Caps are managed here.

Usage

The Usage tab shows organization-wide hosted AI spend for a date range you select (default last 30 days), including breakdown by project. Members see their own spend under My Usage.
